Campus Life

Guess what, this is my 99999999999999th post!
Just kidding, its 99th.
Quite a long intermission before the next activity starts.
So here I am, blogging in my campus' library!
First time eh...
It's my 5th day in uni's life and everything is going on pretty well.
Irrefutably my campus is quite big compared to other colleges (except government universities of course) and most of all, it's still very new!!
Hoho... I like new stuff :D
Had sorta orientation in this week.
Yet, we had first test and lesson on the second day.
Umm... It's quite different from the orientation that I've participated before.
New taylorians are orientated by the lecturers, not seniors.
A variety of talks were given to us, ranging from academic to non-academic such as surviving skills!
Haha...
Well, there are quite a number of international students over here.
e.g. Korean, Kazakhstan, Somalia, China, Indonesia, Yemen, Sri Lanka etc.
I wonder if other universities, colleges or institutions (excluding those international schools) would have such a diverse of foreign students.
The infrastructure and the design of the building is so futuristic & artistic.
Not to be forgotten, the scenic view in the campus!
Just love it :)
Took some photos but I will be uploading it sooner or later (yes, I don't have a bluetooth adapter right now for me to transfer the photos).

the green patches are actually real grass!
 Directory

To my amazement, the library is actually 4-storeys and there are 5 multimedia labs!
Although it may be tiring for sometimes if we are not using the lift provided.
Oh yes, to my delight, there are more than 40 clubs & societies available in my campus!
Ranging from International Affiliation, liberal arts & science, nature & adventure performing arts & of course, sports!
There are some clubs that sound new and interesting like Jujitsu, FATS (mind you, it doesn't mean obesity xD), beat-boxing, sky adventure club and so on.
Sounds pretty cool huh?
Meeting new friends is inevitably another exciting part!
Yes, campus life has regulated my biological clock that has been disorder for years!
I used to feel quite energetic even came back from school around 6pm after one whole day and stayed up till very late.
Yet now I have to go to bed early and don't even want to stay up late.
I would consider so as a good habit.
Teehee...
Alright, gotta head for upcoming activity - team building!
After that need to rush to music centre to attend music lesson.
Guess I'll be half-dead when I reached home.
Okay, signing off~

Tutorial class is officially commencing on next week!
Aza aza fighting!

Despicable me

I am no good in anything.
Screwed up everything.
Wants to resign from whatever post that I am holding.
Quit whatever activity that I'm involving.
Thinking of isolate myself from everything.

Yes, I don't know what happened on me.
I think I am suffering from Schizophrenia & Amnesia for quite a long period.
Some who are close and around me may have notice some symptoms in me.
I just couldn't concentrate, remember well, emotions fluctuate and... and...

I need meditation!
Or Psychologist if things get more worst!

Very sorry for those who I was sort of ignored....
My mind was full of some other stuff and I wasn't aware of my surrounding... >.<

I am tired.....................................................................................................................

(title was inspired by Despicable Me)

Basically those who know me well will know that every Saturday is a busy day for me.
Yeah, I will turn down any invitation on Saturday.
Yet not this Saturday.
Bon Odori? Nah... Not interested at all.
I sacrificed my time and took a day off instead, for today's gatheringS.

In the morning, made reservation and bought a cake for tonight's gathering.
Later on, met up with KHui who just came back to KL for 2 days only, Alice & Stone at Paviliion.
Watched Despicable Me in eye-popping 3D version.

It was their first time watching 3D version, wish their eyes didn't feel uncomfortable after watching. O_O
Love the small minions... heh

You can barely understand what they speak!
Their pronunciation is so cute... ^^
Chit-chatted with them and had early birthday celebration with KHui.
Didn't get to continue the session with Shirley as I was on the rush... T.T

Alright, next gathering move on to Old Town.
Let me see... It was around 3 years ago since we last met!!
Yumcha with Moon, MK the god (haha) & Chew..
HTC Smart College Ambassador semi-finalist, WFong joined us after his competition.
Hmm... Moon becomes prettier :) , MK started to wear specs, Chew is as silent & comment-less as usual and WFong is turning to a man of great capable :D
They considered this as the 'blow water' session.
I was bombarded with all kinds of things from them, be it true or not but I know they were teaching me indirectly.. hah
Big thanks to them!!
Reality is cruel... Sigh...
Anyway,
"No next time" was just kidding la...
Looking forward to the "Part 2"... LOL

Last gathering of the day,
KLPac SB at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng.
It was our first time of having such gathering...
Teehee...
Thank you to those who came all the way long and turned up!
Lance was actually carried his trombone, bags and walked from his school to there!
Imagine how heavy & exhausting it was @.@
Yay!! CRoei came at last =)
We actually had early birthday celebration with YWah.
She was kinda shocked actually as there are few more days before her birthday.
Haha...
Wish you enjoy the cake...
p/s: Sorry, the cake was too hard as I bought the cake early of the day and the staff may had put in the freezer for so long...
Not to be forgotten, thanks Kemmi for sending me home...
We actually trapped in the Bukit Bintang area for like around one and a half hour due to heavy traffic congestion!!
Reached home about 12am... O_O

 The birthday girl~

Fully-occupied and tiring day....

98% of my friends have started their course in their university or college already.
Some of them have started their class while some of them still in orientation period.
Almost all of their comments after the commencement of courses are... " very tiring, boring, unbearable, can't understand what the lecturers were teaching as they were using BM, etc..."
Most of the lecturers from government university teaching in BM!
Wish my friends can cope with this as we are the first batch learning science and mathematics subjects in English all the while.
Suddenly feel grateful that I did not study in government university. xD

Yeah, negative comments...
I wonder how will be my life when my course commence..

Anyway, all the best to my siblings, friends & stay strong over there!!!

If life doesn't turn out to be the way you want, make it turns out to be the way you want.

Good luck to all of you! =)

Selection

So many things that I have to decide lately..
Duh... Don't know since when I have becoming so indecisive and confound especially in making decision...

Actually I've never think about this until sir suggested me to transfer division...
Yeah, St. John Ambulance divison.
My current division is very far from my place and we use to have meeting on Sundays.
Initially it was quite troublesome for me to go to there whenever there's any meeting and hence, I am kind of inactive starting this year.
Of course, my coloured hair plays the factor too.
However, it has become one of my routine to go to that area since these few months, for band's purpose.
Lim Wei Ji's tragic incident at Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010 has aroused my consciousness of the importance of first aid and responsibility as a first aider, be it a St. John or Red Cresent member.
This is my main purpose of joining St. John Ambulance & becoming an adult member!
I still remember I was on the way to my band practice when the marathon was going on.
Looking at the members on duty, I miss the moments where my friends and I were on duty.
I miss KHeng, Elaine, JY, YWey, Madam, Sir and others!
I still couldn't return to my division and go for duty till my hair colour fades or turning to acceptable colour.
Well, my friends who are in same division with me will soon leaving me to study abroad or change to other division due to further studies...
"Do you want to transfer division?" asked my officer.
He knows my situation and suggested so.
Some friends of mine suggested me to transfer to their current division.
It's undeniable that joining same division with my friends is great and nearer to my place but I have some concerns in this too.
There are many members in that division, and this makes me relate to politics which I really hate. (You may think I think too much... LOL)
My current division is getting less member especially adult member as they are going to study abroad.
Don't know why, I feel bad if I am leaving now too although I am just an ordinary adult member.
I learn a lot and received guidance from madam & friends from my current division.
Well, EGM is on 18th July, this will be JY's (my friend who brought me into St. John) last meeting that he will attend and resign from committee before going oversea and perhaps my last time attending meeting in my current division.
I wish I will have the answer after attending this EGM..

Next,
I've just registered my course in Taylor's after long consideration of taking which course.
Don't ask me why I've chosen Taylor's...
Management & marketing, communication & music courses have been in my mind for pretty long.
And now, I've decided.
It's a course that I didn't apply during my application of UPU.
Another thing pop up which requires me to decide.
To stay in residence which just a stone's throw from my campus or stay in my house?
Let's see...
Staying in residence nearby my campus:
Pros:
- only about 2 minutes walk to my campus
- new & fully-furnished room
- my band's mate will be staying in the same house too
- most of the roommates are taking same course with me

Cons:
- can't practice any musical instrument at there
- no mom's cook =(
- inconvenient to go for work
- have to spend more compared to the cost of petrol & time taken to go to campus

Staying in my house:
Pros:
- can practice my musical instrument whenever I am free
- enjoy home's cook =)
- convenient to go for work
- no need to worry about other expenses

Cons:
- around 2 hours needed to and fro from my campus
- I will be darn tired after coming back
- high cost of transportation fee
- troubling my parents of sending me

Which should I choose?

There are more roads that need to be taken as we grow up...
There's no turning back once we have decided in certain decision.
Perplexing...
