It's 1 week of holiday thanks to Hari Raya & National Day!
Minus time for assignments and preparation for quizzes, I managed to go for Bookfest @ Malaysia yesterday!
And yesh, update my blog! xD
Uh oh, I'm not working for Bookfest this year.. hehe
It was kind of hilarious when the Popular staff actually told me "Miss, it's free entrance for 18 and below." when I was going to pay at the ticket counter with my cash on hand.
I was stunned at first but she repeated it again. ROFL
Of course, I smiled and made the payment :)
There are many books that I wish to get but thinking of the leisure time I left... so I think maybe getting it next year? @.@
Anyhow, will be going for second round, tomorrow!! :)

2 days concert tour on 9th - 10th Aug 2011 by Asian Youth Orchestra in Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, KLCC, Malaysia was a concert that music enthusiasts wouldn't want to miss it.
It was an 8:30pm show but THooi, JJie & I left our campus at around 5pm considering the traffic will be congested.
Yeah, I even skipped my entrepreneurship lecture as not to be late for the concert >.<
[actually it wasn't planned earlier to skip the lesson but the new schedule was out at the very last minute in which I really can't change my routine]
Even so, we reached KLCC at 7 something.
I can't imagine if I were to go after my lecture which means I will definitely late or even miss the whole concert!
We were planning to take our time and have a nice dinner initially but all the restaurants and even food court were fully-occupied!
Yeah, it was the hour where Muslims were about to 'buka puasa' and that was peak dinner hour :x
We went around the floors to hunt for nice food and yet, plan phailed.
At last, we decided to wait for our turn to be seated at Sushi King.
There were not much time left when the foods were served and we were sort of gobbled the food.
Then, there was a long queue of customers who wanna pay for the bills, which including us -_-
We dashed to the philharmonic hall after that.
Glad that I wasn't wearing high heels! xD
We were just so in time that we manage to get in to the hall around 10 seconds just before the show started!
The most interesting part was definitely the astonishing performances by AYO conducted by Richard Pontzious featuring Stefan Jackiw the violin soloist.
Admitting that I was really lethargic on that day but I was so alert when the music begun.
I just can't take my eyes and ears off of them!
Here's the repertoire of the day:
There was an impromptu violin solo by Stefan Jackiw playing Nocturne in C Sharp Minor by Chopin!
Whee~
The fascinating concert adjourned by a big round of applause from the audiences for more than 10 mins!
I can feel the numbness on my hands after clapping for such a long period.
Haha...
Oh yes, we got to bump into quite a number of musicians as well as music lovers friends of us during the concert!
It was so delighting to meet my ex-KLPac SB conductor Bruce Lee again :)
Finally, I've got to see the famous vocalist & choir teacher Mr. Ian Lim in real!
hahaha
Well, bump into Winston in this concert reminded me of his graduation recital invitation which I've yearn to go.
It's rather sad that I can't turn up for it since it clashes with my new time table ='(
Notwithstanding, all the very best Winston and I know it will be definitely a great recital!
Thinking back, everything was just so rush yesterday even though we did departed earlier. lol!
Anyhow, we were considered quite lucky as the road was not as congested as expected, we found the car park easily, and we manage to enter the hall at the eleventh hour!
What's more, we got to be seated by the attendant at the second last row which has better acoustic and view rather than the seats that we have bought. muahahaha!
As for me, I got to have a copy of the Narnia Orginal Soundtrack that I've spotted in THooi's car. ahahahaha...
Finally, I'd like to thanks MKuan & THooi for the joyous day :)

(Still flashing back of what happened in 2008 although its in 2009 now >.<)
Our board got an invitation letter of visiting other school this week on 2nd August.
Well,
the letter wasnt mailed to us but passed to 1 of our members
and the letter was photostated.
Also,
it seemed to be invited the wrong board...
Since it was someone's friend,
we just went and look around at there
>.<
Took lrt and bus to reach there.
Thought I was late but bumped into CWay in the lrt...
Haha...
Anyhow,
we still need to wait for others at the station and go together...
Hmm...
Found out that some people never took bus before!
O_O
Of course,
their first time gave us already
Keke...
Ahha,
we were making noise in the bus
>.<
Reached there at last ...
Need to pay sort of entrance fee during this visit...
=.=

Their hall...
Umm...
Most of the programmes were dance, dance and dance...
There was a session where their seniors ( quite a lot of them) getting souvenirs from the juniors.
They were pretty high and excited (jeering, exhorting) when this was going on.
Contrary,
the visitors from other school were sitting quietly.
Some even fall asleep!
LoL...
Guess what,
we saw this on the table in the canteen

Facts and secrets about farting!
ROFL!
Took this in the canteen before we left...
(Escape actually =P)
It was not because we were not 'giving them face' but they really invited the wrong board
and we think its better to go earlier than wasting our time over there.
And all of the exco even turned up.
Considered not bad already
>.<
We have more important things to do - go PC fair!
Help teacher buy things and broaden our knowledge.
IT Brigade what...

In the Putra lrt... xD

23 May—2 June 08
Well,
I was working during BookFest at KLCC from 23 May—2 June 08.
It’s the biggest book fest in Southeast Asia.
I worked night shift on 23 May 08 from 10pm till 12pm of the next day.
Umm..
Staffs were mostly comprised of university and college students...
Also,
popular staffs from the outlets of whole Malaysia.
I was considered as one of the youngests over there.
Firstly,
We all were gathered and divided into different sections by HR staffs.
Area of works and related information was briefed by them to us.
Next,
Get started!
Unwrapping stocks of books,
setting up those shelves,
arrange those books and so forth...
Working non-stop!
Of course,
there were 2 session of short breaks
xD
Setting up~

24 May 08,
first day of book fest.
Erm…
Our job weren’t that hard compared to the preparation of book fest as we did previously.
Hehe…
However,
We were required to stand from 9:45am - around 10pm everyday.
Hmm… reached home around 12am if there’s any overtime
>.<
Anyways,
I had the chance of meeting those famous people,
Including Fahrenheit, Taiwan writers and chief, Tun Mahathir, television celebrities at there
Hoho…
Oh yeah,
There was one thing that made me feel sad about…
It was happened on the last day of the book fest…
A customer came to me and inquired me for a book titled “ 100 types of happiness ” by XX if I am not mistaken.
Its
As usual,
I asked for the publisher..
Bla bla bla…
To narrow the searching range.
I still couldn't find it even asked few section leaders and searched in the computer…
I returned to the customer.
But he looked very wanting for that book,
And told me it actually translated from English to Chinese…
Thus,
I strode quickly to another hall, English hall to look for that book…
Few procedures were did…
Running here and there but yet,
Still couldn't find yet…
I returned with disappointment to my booth and apologized to the customer.
Aiks..
He was looking for this book for a period…
Went to few outlets and yet,
Still couldn’t get it..
It’s a motivational book I heard,
According to him.
Later on then only I found out he has no left arm!
O_O
Can be described as handicapped person?
Not really I think…
He’s not much different than other people besides that particular deficiency.
In fact,
He is an optimistic guy when I saw he chatted happily with his friends.
I can feel the disappointment at him when I said I couldn’t get him the book…
Even though he replied never mind and thanked me for searching so hard for that book
=.=
With smile and grateful when he spoke!
Somehow,
This made me feel more sorry..
I failed to get the book he wanted…
>.<

On 1 June 08,
Which was the last day of the book fest,
Popular has extended the business hour to 11pm.
Anyhow,
Its doesn't affect our working hour at all.
All of us required to work for 24 hours at the last day!
Umm…
We started to pack up all the things after all of the customers left.
Distributed mountains of books according to their respective publisher..
Stacked up and arranged the books…
Wrapping, sealing...
